My name is Ailien and my greatest passion is to bring healing to people who have been through and going through difficult, stressful, and even traumatic life experiences. I advocate a strictly confidential space for my clients that fosters support, is non-judgmental, and acts as a safe haven where they can be free to share their personal challenges, learn coping skills and build themselves to the person they want to become.
I am also not a stranger to life’s struggles, having personally experienced many challenges and having witnessed close family members, friends, and strangers with countless problems. This has become my strength in my practice, as I can relate and empathize with clients going through the harsh realities of life, such as psychological problems within the families, financial difficulties, marital disputes and other relationship problems, different types of abuse, stress in child care, lack of a support system, grief and betrayals, and many others.
I have experience treating clients of different ages, backgrounds, sexual orientations, and psychological and with various psychiatric conditions. I strongly support versatility in psychotherapy treatments because I acknowledge that no single approach would work for every individual. To continue being an effective psychologist, I familiarized myself with psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Therapy, and other effective brief therapies. I have sufficient mastery in using different types of psychological assessments and testing and excellent written and oral communication skills in providing reports. I am interested in research, as I aim to continuously discover and develop more effective therapies that would benefit people.
How I work
With everything that is going on and the fast-changing development of the world right now, it is so easy to feel lost and overwhelmed. Oftentimes, our mental health takes a huge beating. Ironically, it is also the most neglected. I encourage everyone to pay attention to their mental health and start listening to what their bodies and minds are trying to tell them. There is no shame in seeking help when we need it. You’ve taken the first step by being here. It will be my privilege to work through things with you, bring you comfort, and help you in any way I can as your therapist.
Feel free to visit the clinic and call or email me for any further inquiries about me and my services. See you soon and hang in there!
